Skoda India has officially unveiled the much-awaited second-generation 2025 Skoda Kodiaq, a luxury 7-seater SUV packed with premium features, German engineering, and powerful performance. Based on the popular MQB platform, the new Kodiaq comes exclusively in petrol variants, blending bold styling with intelligent tech and exceptional driving dynamics.
Skoda has launched the new Kodiaq in two variants:
The L&K variant is the top-end model loaded with luxury features and segment-first technology, while the Sportline offers a sportier look and performance-focused enhancements.
The new Kodiaq continues to be petrol-only in India:
1.5L Mild-Hybrid Petrol Engine, 7-speed DSG Automatic Transmission, Powerful VRs variant, plug-in hybrid and diesel engines are available globally but not in India currently.
It features six drive modes: Eco, Normal, Sport, Off-Road, Snow, and Individual — giving users full control over various terrains and driving conditions.
The Kodiaq scored 5 stars in Euro NCAP crash tests, ensuring top-tier safety for all passengers. Key features include: 9 Airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control, Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, Multi-collision Brake System, XDS+ Cross Differential System, Proactive Passenger Protection, ISOFIX child seat mounts, 360-Degree Camera with Front & Rear Parking Sensors
Additional intelligent features like Driver Drowsiness Detection and Advanced Parking Assist make it one of the safest family SUVs in India.
Skoda Kodiaq is built on the Volkswagen Group’s MQB (Modular Transverse Matrix) platform, which also underpins: Skoda Superb, Audi A3, Volkswagen Atlas, VW Tiguan & T-Roc.
This translates to improved weight distribution, higher structural rigidity, and superior driving dynamics.
