His funeral took place on March 14, 2025, at Pawan Hans Crematorium in Mumbai. Many Bollywood celebrities attended to pay their respects, including Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan, and Karan Johar. Their presence showed how much Deb Mukherjee was loved and respected in the industry.
