The much-awaited Triumph Thruxton 400 has been fully revealed online just days before its official India launch on August 6, 2025. The leaked images show the upcoming café racer in full production form, hinting at a stylish new addition to Triumph’s 400 cc lineup.
Classic Café Racer Design
The Thruxton 400 stands out from its siblings like the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X with its retro half-fairing, clip-on handlebars, bar-end mirrors, and a detachable rear cowl over the pillion seat. The design draws inspiration from larger Thruxton models, blending old-school charm with compact proportions.

The leaked pictures reveal two striking two-tone paint schemes – red & silver and yellow & silver – with more colour options expected at launch.
Shared Platform, Same Performance
Mechanically, the Thruxton 400 shares most components with the Speed 400, including the 398 cc liquid-cooled engine producing 39.5 bhp and 37.5 Nm of torque. It comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox and features a slipper & assist clutch as standard.
Suspension, braking hardware, chassis, and even the semi-digital instrument cluster are carried over, but Triumph may tweak the gearing slightly to suit the café racer’s character.

Triumph Thruxton 400 Price & Rivals
The Thruxton 400 is expected to be priced around ₹2.75 lakh (ex-showroom). With its semi-faired retro styling, it will enter a niche space in the Indian market with no direct rivals, appealing to riders who want a blend of vintage design and modern performance.
Official bookings are likely to open soon after launch, with deliveries expected to begin in the coming weeks.
