The Tamil Nadu Sunnat Jamath strongly objected to how the event was conducted. Syed Kous, the organization’s treasurer, filed a complaint stating that:
Unruly individuals, including “drunkards and rowdies,” were present, allegedly ruining the sanctity of the occasion.
Attendees were treated disrespectfully, likening it to being “treated like cows.”
The security personnel were insensitive to religious sentiments.
According to the complainants, their intention is not to seek publicity but to ensure that such incidents are not repeated. They have called for legal action against Vijay.
Vijay’s Political Move and Upcoming Film
Despite the controversy, Thalapathy Vijay remains focused on his upcoming film “Jana Nayagan” (“Hero of the People”), directed by H. Vinoth. This film is particularly significant as it is Vijay’s last movie before entering full-time politics. The film features a stellar cast, including Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Prakash Raj. It is set for a grand release on January 14, 2026.
