Sonu Sood in Legal Trouble: Arrest Warrant Issued Over ₹10 Lakh Fraud Case

In a recent legal development, a Ludhiana court has issued an arrest warrant against Bollywood actor Sonu Sood in connection with an alleged ₹10 lakh fraud case. The case was filed by Ludhiana-based lawyer Rajesh Khanna, who claims he was deceived into investing in a fraudulent Rijika coin by an individual named Mohit Shukla. Sonu Sood was summoned to testify in court but failed to appear, leading to the issuance of the arrest warrant.

The court has directed the Officer In-Charge of Oshiwara Police Station in Andheri West, Mumbai, to arrest Sonu Sood and present him before the court. The order specifies that the warrant should be executed and returned by February 10, 2025, which is also the date scheduled for the next hearing.

This is not the first time Sood has faced legal challenges. In January 2021, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) labeled him a “habitual offender” for allegedly carrying out unauthorized construction work in a residential building in Juhu, Mumbai, despite previous demolition actions.
