Pakistan Train Hijacking On March 11, 2025, a shocking event took place in Pakistan’s Balochistan province when armed militants hijacked the Jaffar Express, a train traveling from Quetta to Peshawar. The hijackers were members of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), a separatist group demanding independence for Balochistan.
The train, carrying about 400 passengers, was forced to stop when the militants blew up the railway tracks in a remote mountainous area. As the train came to a halt, the attackers opened fire, killing at least 20 soldiers and injuring several others, including the train driver.
