Padma award 2025
On the eve of Republic Day 2025, the Government of India announced the prestigious Padma award 2025, honoring individuals for their exceptional contributions across various fields. This year, seven distinguished personalities have been conferred with the Padma Vibhushan, while several others have been recognized with the Padma Bhushan.

The Padma Award 2025, instituted in 1954, are among India’s highest civilian honors, presented annually on Republic Day. They are categorized into three levels:
Padma Vibhushan: For exceptional and distinguished service.
Padma Bhushan: For distinguished service of a high order.
Padma Shri: For distinguished service in any field.
This year, a total of 139 awards have been approved, including 7 Padma Vibhushan, 19 Padma Bhushan, and 113 Padma Shri honors. The list comprises 23 women awardees, 10 individuals from the Foreigner/NRI/PIO/OCI category, and 13 posthumous recognitions.
These awards reflect the nation’s gratitude to individuals who have made significant contributions to society, culture, and the nation at large.
