Mahindra has officially launched the much-awaited Mahindra XUV 3XO in Australia, pricing the AX5L variant at AUD 23,490 (approximately ₹13.18 lakh). With this, Mahindra continues to expand its global presence, making the XUV 3XO its fourth offering in Australia after the S11 4X4 Pikup, Scorpio, and XUV700. This new launch aims to capture a larger slice of the competitive sub-compact SUV market in the country.
Australia is a key international market for Mahindra, and the company is strategically placing products that cater to a wide range of customer needs. The new XUV 3XO fits perfectly into the urban SUV space, directly competing with popular models like the Chery Tiggo 4, Mazda CX-3, MG ZS, Kia Stonic, and Hyundai Venue.
The XUV 3XO is being offered in two variants in Australia – AX5L and AX7L, both of which come packed with features and aggressive introductory pricing.
These prices are drive-away, meaning they include taxes, registration, and all on-road costs, making it one of the most affordable SUVs in its segment. These introductory prices are valid until 31st August 2025, after which prices will increase by AUD 500 for both variants.
The Australian-spec XUV 3XO mirrors the India-spec design with a sporty and modern look: C-shaped LED DRLs, Bold front grille, Sleek Infinity tail lamps.
The AX5L rides on 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, while the top-spec AX7L gets 17-inch alloys for a more commanding road presence.
Color Options:
AX5L: Everest White, Galaxy Grey, Stealth Black, Tango Red
AX7L: Everest White, Galaxy Grey, Tango Red, Citrine Yellow (exclusive)
The XUV 3XO offers a premium experience with features that exceed expectations for this price point:
Exclusive AX7L Features
Skyroof (Panoramic Sunroof), Black leatherette seats, Harman Kardon premium sound system, Soft-touch dashboard and door trims, Cooled glove box, 65-watt USB Type-C fast charging, 360° Surround View Camera with Blind View Monitor
Mahindra also equips the AX7L with advanced ADAS features, including:
Auto Emergency Braking (AEB), Forward Collision Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Sign Recognition
In Australia, the XUV 3XO is offered with a 1.2-litre mStallion turbocharged petrol engine:
While the Indian version also gets a manual gearbox, the Australian model focuses solely on the automatic transmission, aligning with market preferences for convenience and urban driving.
Here’s how the XUV 3XO AX5L compares to competitors in terms of pricing:
