Hyundai Creta N Line 2025: Now with 193 PS Turbo Petrol – Spied Uncovered

Hyundai’s popular SUV, the Creta N Line, is about to receive a major performance boost in Brazil. The sportier avatar of the Creta has been spied testing with a 193 PS, 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine, signaling an exciting update for enthusiasts craving more power under the hood.

Currently, the Creta N Line in Brazil is powered by a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, also seen in models like the Hyundai Venue in India. But the new spy shots confirm a big shift in performance capabilities, thanks to the ‘1.6 TGDI’ badging seen on the test model’s tailgate.

What’s New: 1.6L Turbo Petrol Engine

The biggest talking point of this upcoming variant is the 1.6-litre turbocharged GDI engine, which churns out 193 PS of power and 265 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT). This is a significant upgrade over the current 1.0-litre turbo petrol unit, which produces 120 PS and 172 Nm of torque with a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

This new powertrain is already available on the top-end ‘Ultimate’ trim of the standard Creta in Brazil, but now it’s making its way to the N Line, promising a much more dynamic and thrilling driving experience for performance enthusiasts.

Design & Styling – Bold As Ever

Though the test car was seen without camouflage, the sporty design elements of the N Line remain intact. Expect signature features such as

  • Glossy black exterior trims
  • Aggressive front grille with N Line badging
  • Dual exhaust tipsNew 18-inch alloy wheels (up from the current 17-inch wheels)
  • Sporty bumpers and side cladding

The LED headlamps and tail-lights seem to retain the same layout as the standard Creta, but the overall presence of the N Line version is clearly more performance-focused.

Interiors: Sport Meets Sophistication

Inside, Hyundai continues to push sporty aesthetics with premium elements. Key interior highlights of the upcoming Creta N Line 1.6 TGDI include:

  • All-black cabin with red contrast stitching
  • Synthetic leather upholstery
  • N Line badging on seats, steering, gear knob, and door sills
  • Metal pedals for a race-inspired touch
  • Glossy black dashboard accents
  • Panoramic sunroo
  • fRed ambient lighting across dash and door panels

Additionally, it retains all modern features such as dual 10.25-inch digital displays, wireless smartphone charging, Hyundai BlueLink connectivity, Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, and dual-zone automatic climate control.

Performance vs. Price – What to Expect

With the addition of the 1.6L turbo engine, pricing is expected to get a bump as well. While the current Creta N Line (1.0L turbo) is priced at R$ 188,720 (approx. ₹29.39 lakh), the upgraded Creta N Line 1.6 TGDI is likely to launch at around R$ 200,000 (approx. ₹31.15 lakh).

  • Standard Creta Ultimate (1.6L TGDI): R$ 198,120 (~₹30.85 lakh)
  • Existing Creta N Line (1.0L Turbo): R$ 188,720 (~₹29.39 lakh)

Despite the premium, the performance gains and sporty enhancements are likely to appeal strongly to younger buyers and car enthusiasts in Brazil.

Will India Get the 1.6L TGDI Creta N Line?

Final Verdict: Hyundai Creta N Line

The Hyundai Creta N Line 1.6 TGDI marks a significant leap in the N Line portfolio. With its bold design, rich feature set, and now a power-packed engine, it’s all set to become a favorite for driving enthusiasts in Brazil.

As Hyundai continues to refine the Creta range across global markets, this upgrade in Brazil also hints at the brand’s strategy of keeping its offerings fresh and competitive in the performance SUV segment.
