The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 is officially on the calendar, and this time, IIT Guwahati will be at the helm. The organising institute has launched the official website – gate2026.iitg.ac.in – along with the complete schedule.

Who Can Apply?
Candidates in their third year or above of a recognised degree programme in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, or Humanities can apply.
Those with equivalent certifications approved by MoE/AICTE/UGC/UPSC are also eligible.
International students with relevant qualifications from recognised foreign institutions can appear as well.

Application Fee
- Female / SC / ST / PwD: ₹1,000 (Regular), ₹1,500 (Extended)
- All Other Candidates: ₹2,000 (Regular), ₹2,500 (Extended)
