TVS Sales May 2025

TVS Motor Company has started FY 2025-26 on a high note with domestic sales hitting 3,09,287 units in May 2025. This reflects a year-on-year (YoY) growth of 14.07% compared to 2,71,140 units sold in May 2024. The growth was fueled by strong performances from TVS Jupiter, Apache, and iQube, while a few models like Raider and Ntorq witnessed moderate declines.

However, compared to April 2025’s 3,23,647 units, the May figures indicate a 4.44% month-on-month (MoM) drop, suggesting a minor slowdown post initial festive purchases and start-of-fiscal boosts.

TVS Jupiter: Still the Star Performer

TVS Sales May 2025

With 97,606 units sold in May 2025, TVS Jupiter continues to dominate the scooter segment. It marked an impressive 28.70% YoY growth, up from 75,838 units in May 2024. Despite a 4.86% dip from April’s 1,02,588 units, Jupiter remains TVS’s top-selling model, driven by its reliability, features, and wide urban appeal.

TVS Apache: Powering the Performance Segment

The Apache series stood strong with 49,099 units sold, a solid 29.53% growth YoY over 37,903 units last May. It also grew 7.60% MoM, up from 45,633 units in April. This clearly indicates increasing popularity among performance bike enthusiasts, especially in tier-1 and tier-2 cities.

Even the premium Apache RR 310, though limited in numbers, grew 43.45% MoM, recording 208 units in May compared to 145 in April. However, it fell short on a YoY basis, down 25.45% from 279 units in May 2024.

TVS iQube: Electric Momentum Accelerates

In the EV segment, TVS iQube continued its upward trajectory, selling 27,642 units, marking a massive 60.43% YoY growth from 17,230 units. Its MoM growth, although modest at 0.14%, indicates consistent demand and solid consumer trust in the electric offering.

TVS Raider & Ntorq: Facing Pressure

On the flip side, models like the TVS Raider and TVS Ntorq saw declines. Raider sold 35,401 units, slipping 4.96% YoY and 17.73% MoM. The Ntorq, which appeals to a younger audience, recorded 25,205 units, down 13.84% YoY and 0.70% MoM.

These dips could reflect stiff competition in the 125cc segment and shifting consumer preferences.

TVS XL Moped: Rural Hero Losing Pace

The trusted TVS XL moped saw a 7.75% YoY drop, with May sales totaling 37,264 units, down from 40,394 units last year. It also slipped 3.83% MoM. Demand in rural areas — the stronghold of the XL — may have been affected by delayed monsoon or price pressures.
