Amazon founder and one of the wealthiest men on the planet, Jeff Bezos, is finally committing to former news anchor and media personality Lauren Sánchez in a glamorous, intimate wedding ceremony in Venice, Italy, starting June 24, 2025.
The high-end affair will bring only 200 guests along, so it’s exclusive and personal—and full of luxury and celebrity sheen.
A Love Story Two Years in the Making
The wedding of the couple was a headliner in 2023, when Bezos popped the question with a 30-carat diamond ring on a romantic getaway to Europe. Their wedding has since been one of the most hotly debated celebrity weddings of the decade.
Despite her status as an A-list celebrity, Lauren Sánchez confessed in a previous interview that the planning of the wedding has not all been glitz and glamour.
I have to admit, I do have a Pinterest,” Sánchez laughed during a November 2024 Today Show interview. “I’m just like every other bride.”
Her brother, Paul Sánchez, even teased earlier this year that the ceremony would be on par with royalty:
“It’s gonna be like a Princess Di thing,” he said to TMZ. “Star-studded and fun.”

Even though there were whispers for months of a $600 million Aspen wedding, Venice Mayor Luigi Brugnaro officially confirmed the Italian city.
“The numerous speculations and false news circulating regarding the wedding of Jeff Bezos are absolutely baseless,” Brugnaro said to People Magazine.
“We are coordinating with each other to make the event respectful of the fragility and singularity of Venice.
The centerpiece of celebrations is booked at the super-luxurious Aman Hotel on Grand Canal—renowned as the wedding site of George and Amal Clooney.
